What a journey costs on the Dubai Metro across the RTA's 7 fare zones — nol Silver, Gold, Blue and red ticket, travel passes and concessions. Checked against the RTA on 6 September 2026.

Prices for a Silver nol card. A Gold card costs double; students and senior citizens with a personal Blue card pay half. An unregistered card can only take the 7-day pass — the 30, 90 and 365-day products need the card registered. Figures from the RTA, checked on 6 September 2026.

- Always tap your nol card at the gate when entering and exiting the station: the fare is worked out from the zones you crossed.
- The RTA charges a journey, not a ride — maximum journey 180 minutes, up to 3 transfers, and 30 minutes to change between modes. A metro trip followed by a bus counts as one journey.
- About the one-day pass: The RTA does not publish a daily pass price on its fare pages. Its red ticket can hold "up to 10 journeys or 5 daily passes", so ask at the ticket office or in the RTA Dubai app for the current price.
- A nol card holds AED 1,000 unregistered · AED 5,000 registered.
- Gold class is double the Silver fare, and the surcharge applies on the metro and tram only.

For major service disruptions you can claim a refund through RTA. Minor delays are not compensated automatically.
